What can you expect?

Our initial visit will include an assessment of your child's reading level, phonics skills,
phonological awareness, and comprehension. Plus, we will have a consultation to discuss your child's needs and the best plan moving forward.

It is recommended to have 2 or 3 sessions per week, each lasting 20-30 minutes per session.

The services provided include:

  • Personalized one-on-one lessons designed to address the identified reading gaps from the assessment.

  • Progress reports to keep you informed about your child’s performance.

  • Open communication with parents, allowing them to seek feedback through emails, textsor calls.

  • Optional supplementary materials for parents interested in spending 5-10 minutes a few times per week to reinforce what their child is learning.

  • Preparation of individualized lessons, activities, and educational games to meet thespecific needs of your child.

Online classes take place in the comfort of your home. Online tutoring is engaging and interactive using fun lessons and games to learn essential skills.

In-person tutoring: The majority of my students use online classes. However, if you prefer in-person tutoring, I can meet you at the Huntley Library.
