I have always enjoyed reading. Books provide enjoyment, fun, and knowledge. My desire is to help children becomes strong readers so they can be successful in life.

As a child, whenever we played school in the neighborhood, I had to be the teacher. This passion to teach led me to pursue a B.S. in elementary education at Indiana University. As a certified teacher I had the privilege of teaching grades first through fifth over a 12-year period. As a classroom teacher it was fulfilling to help the children grow into strong readers.

Currently I reside in Huntley, Illinois which is a Chicago suburb not far from Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. In my free time I like to read, spend time with my family and friends, and play with my dog Max, who has quite the personality. Also, I love to vacation in various beautiful places in America. Some of my travel destinations are Door County Wisconsin on Lake Michigan, the scenic views in Branson, Missouri and the sandy beaches of Florida.

Hi there, I am
Mary Bieker.
Teaching children has always been my passion. I see teaching as a way to help others. As my students become confident readers and learn to enjoy reading, I know that this will help them be successful in life.
